5-19-22   THOUGHTS

For some reason, and in a special way, I become aware of God’s presence more in the reading of the Revelation letter than any other.  Things are said that are too high for me, but I love the feeling of majesty and power that holds me in His hands.  FROM His WORD, I HAVE LEARNED TO TRUST HIM!  There is something grander going on in eternity than we on earth are normally able to envision.  Things won’t always be as they are.  The theme of the second coming of Christ is PERFECTING... COMPLETING!  It is sensible in that it takes care of unfinished business, and it brings JUSTICE from THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE!  No wonder I’m blessed when I read!  Through the eyes of faith, the end is COMPLETED PROMISES made by the maker and ruler of the universe!  My faith swells as I think of glorious things beyond me!

Rev 1:1-8    The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His   bond-servant John, 2  who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3  Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. 4  John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5  and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood —  6  and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father — to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7  BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. 8  "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
Matt 26:64   Jesus said to him, "You have said it [yourself;]nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN."
Acts 1:9-11  And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.  10  And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them.  11  They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."

My Prayer:
Thank you,  O God, for receiving us in spite of our weakness and sin.  We lift you up, because we see your grace and mercy and love.  Your loving kindness is forever.  We ask for strength to abide in your presence by faith.  Impute holiness to us as you continually remove our sin in Jesus.  Thank you for the awesome gift of your Son who saves us, and reconciles us to yourself.
